Job summary

Encore is seeking a Rigging Technician to join our hospitality and convention center teams in Orlando, FL. You will perform rigging tasks, establish hang-points from lifts, and support shows with safety and quality as top priorities.

This on-site role requires 500+ hours of rigging experience, Lift Certification, and Basic Rigging certification, plus the ability to coordinate with other trades. You must follow Encore guidelines and SOPs for every event.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
500+ hours of onsite rigging experience.
Qualified-Basic Rigging certification.
Lift Certification.
Lift operation experience.
Ground Rigging experience.
High rigging with harness experience.
Previous experience supervising a rigging team preferred.

Responsibilities

Gather and organize rigging tools and equipment per event needs.
Establish hang-points, connect hoists and attachments to rigging points, and ensure safety of equipment.
Provide ground rigging support to teams building points from lifts and assist with priority safety checks.
Inspect all cabling tie-offs and verify truss bolts are tight.
Remain on site until all motors have been raised to trim.
Observe and maintain safety concerns during events and escalate unsafe practices.
