Job summary

Encore is seeking a qualified Rigging Technician to perform ground and overhead rigging tasks in hotel/convention center environments. You will follow safe practices, inspect hardware, and assist the Rigging Coordinator on show plots while coordinating with other trades.

Responsibilities include organizing tools, setting hang-points, securing truss and lift gear, and maintaining compliance with safety SOPs. On-site role requires physical stamina and ability to work irregular hours during events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 500+ hours of onsite rigging experience.
• Qualified-Basic Rigging certification required.
• Lift Certification required; lift operation experience preferred.
• Ground rigging experience; experience supervising a rigging team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize rigging tools and equipment per event needs.
• Establish hang-points, connect hoists, and secure truss and flown gear.
• Inspect all rigging hardware and ensure safety compliance.
• Support other trades and coordinate with Rigging Coordinator.
• Remain on site until all motors are raised to trim.
