Allied Universal in Long Beach, CA is seeking a part-time unarmed security officer (Patrol Observer) to monitor retail locations, deter incidents, and provide professional service to clients and visitors. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and support access control and alarm response.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation per laws.
• Drug screen as required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, storefronts, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Document patrols and incidents in required reporting systems.
