Job summary

Allied Universal in Torrance, CA seeks a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol and monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service.

You will work Sat and Sun 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, using our Claim a Shift platform to manage shifts. The role emphasizes professionalism, community safety, and a reliable presence in a technology, media, and telecom setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Help deter unauthorized activity through professional presence and timely reporting.
