Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Springfield, MA. The role focuses on deterrence patrols, unarmed security, and delivering courteous service to government locations and the public.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and maintain records. The schedule is DayTime Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM and Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour and opportunities to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public at a government location by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and complete reports.
• Maintain daily activity logs and incident documentation; communicate observations to leadership and site representatives.
