Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Coordinator in New York, NY. This role offers reliable fixed shifts at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.87 per hour. The position supports part‑time hours with the potential to scale to a full‑time schedule, providing hands‑on security experience with an industry leader and opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building perimeters, entrances, common spaces, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and observe visitor and resident movement in accordance with location procedures, helping to support an orderly environment.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
