Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer with DoD Secret Clearance for a Chantilly, VA location. The role involves unarmed patrols, outstanding customer service, and adherence to site policies while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The position requires 3+ years of relevant experience or a college degree, DoD clearance, and a valid driver’s license where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and responding to requests for assistance in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
