Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Kansas City, MO. You will maintain a visible security presence, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes flexibility in a fast-paced tech/media environment. Minimum requirements include 18+ for unarmed roles, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exteriors, parking facilities, and access points.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and complete incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership while following post orders.
