Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control Security Officer in Miami, FL. The role emphasizes customer service, visible security presence, and adherence to site procedures to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives.
