Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Boston, MA to monitor and protect clients across various sectors, including financial institutions. You will work a part-time schedule with day and weekend shifts, access control duties, and a focus on deterring incidents.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws; drug screen where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location, carrying out site procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit activity, verify visitor credentials, and maintain logs/incident documentation.
• Deter unauthorized access and maintain a professional security presence.
