Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed - Logistics in Charleston, SC to protect client sites in logistics and distribution. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling through the Claim a Shift platform and a pathway to broader security duties.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is preferred or required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet for reporting and access control.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; background check and drug screen may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate with site personnel regarding authorized shipments and appointments, and report irregularities or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, the business, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
