Job summary

Allied Universal in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Security Officer for part-time unarmed patrol duties at a government location. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence to deter threats.

The schedule is set as listed and pay is $19 per hour. Applicants must meet minimum requirements and pass background and drug screening where permitted by law; licensing may be required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site policies and applicable government facility requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site representatives.
