Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Sterling, VA. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a technology, media, and telecommunications site, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a secure environment.

The pay rate is $23.18 per hour with a flexible DayTime schedule including overnight shifts. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, pass background checks, and meet job requirements.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures; report concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, clear communication.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports in a professional manner.
