Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Emergency Readiness in Fort Wayne, IN. The role focuses on customer service, regular patrols, access control, and incident response at a technology-focused site.

Pay rate is $17.75 per hour. The schedule includes night shifts and day shifts with rotating weekends. The position requires a high school diploma, 18+ years old for unarmed work, and background/drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
