Job summary

Allied Universal in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking a Security Officer Upscale Corporate (Part Time) to protect a utilities location and support a safe environment. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and perform routine patrols to deter incidents.

Key requirements include a guard card or license, at least 21 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and background checks with a drug screen as part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, weather-related events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership, and support compliance with applicable site policies and procedures.
