Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Armed Access Control Officer (Part Time) for a government location in West Palm Beach, FL. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and provide professional service to visitors and staff.

The role requires an Armed Guard Card, 21+ years old, and a valid driver’s license, with a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
Armed Guard Card/License.
A valid driver’s license is required.
CPR Certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen will be conducted.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public while carrying out access-control procedures.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue/recover access badges.
Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular patrols of government facilities, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Complete accurate activity reports and required access-control records.
