Job summary

Chesley Brown International is seeking qualified individuals for Unarmed Part time Security Officer positions in the Atlanta/Sandy Springs area. You will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, maintaining a visible security presence and enforcing site policies.

Ideal candidates are sharp, professional, and reliable, with a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background checks, and a willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional security or criminal justice training is a plus.
• Valid State Security Officer License/Guard Card, if applicable.
• At least 18 years of age (or 21 depending on site requirements).
• Minimum of 2 years of previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; must be well-groomed and in proper uniform.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or patrol for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer literacy for report writing and incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas (interior and exterior) to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment as required.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, following company protocols.
• Document all incidents and suspicious activity accurately in daily reports.
• Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and client policies consistently and respectfully.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and clients.
• Control access to buildings or restricted areas by verifying identification and credentials.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or other concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, clients, and law enforcement when needed.
