Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part‑time Security Officer (Unarmed) at an automotive location in Normal, IL. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to alarms while delivering reliable security solutions.

As part of a dynamic team, you will work a flexible schedule, gain hands‑on experience with alarm panels, and contribute to a safe, compliant environment built on integrity and teamwork at Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal policy.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, access points, loading areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
