Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Credential Stewardship in Washington, DC. In this role, you will monitor and protect clients across cultural institutions, uphold access control, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors and staff.

As a part-time officer, you will build a schedule that fits your life and contribute to a welcoming, safe environment while reporting incidents and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be performed as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations calmly and report to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout galleries, offices, and surrounding perimeter and report hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; maintain orderly operations during exhibits and events.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
