Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard in Jacksonville, FL. You will patrol and monitor access at a technology, media, and telecommunications site, delivering customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

Role includes shift-based daytime and overnight hours with pay of $17.00 per hour. You will perform access control, log incidents, and respond calmly to emergencies while upholding site policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Help support the protection of technology assets, facilities, and confidential business operations by reporting suspicious activity and following established security-related protocols.
