Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time security officer in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves providing customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and security policies at a logistics and distribution location.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents with calm and problem-solving approaches, and document activities for reporting.

Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience or more.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws will be conducted.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access to the location and verify authorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies following procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents and report concerns to site contacts and leadership.
