Job summary

Allied Universal in Pinetops, NC is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer focused on customer service at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role emphasizes excellent service, clear communication, and teamwork. Minimum 6 months security experience, high school diploma, and background check required; pay is $16.75 per hour with a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, and respond to emergencies per site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular unaffiliated and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access by verifying visitor, contractor, and employee entry authorization per procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents in daily activity reports and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
