Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for an Unarmed Property Patrol Driver position in Durham, NC. The role involves patrolling a manufacturing/industrial site, providing customer service, and ensuring a secure environment.

You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access, document activities, and work with site management to deter incidents while supporting a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 21 years of age (and 18+ for unarmed roles).
• Background check and drug screen required in accordance with law.
• Licensing requirements may apply and vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency personnel and/or site management as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol activity, unusual conditions, incidents, and policy violations through clear and accurate reports.
