Job summary

Allied Universal in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer/Patrol Driver to safeguard client facilities across Manufacturing & Industrial sites. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, support access control, and provide courteous service to clients, visitors, and employees.

This role offers flexible scheduling via our shift-claim platform, attention to safety, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Age 19+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while communicating relevant observations to appropriate personnel.
