Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time TWIC patrol observation role in Mobile, AL. You will provide security presence, respond to incidents, and maintain log documentation while upholding customer service standards.

The position requires a TSA-issued TWIC, high school diploma or equivalent, and background/drug checks as applicable. A valid driver’s license is needed for driving posts.

Qualifications

• TSA-issued TWIC credential is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check in line with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and regulations and may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific security procedures and emergency response protocols at a port and maritime facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, waterfront areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic, reporting unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation according to site procedures.
