Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a contracted Teacher of Visual Impairment (TVI) to empower students with visual impairments. The role focuses on tailoring instruction and modifications to meet each learner's needs within a supportive educational team.

Contract runs 8/10/2026–5/28/2027, approx. 15 hours weekly across 2–3 days, at $50/hour with weekly pay. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401k matching, and FSA options.

Qualifications

• Active TVI license through TEA is required.
• Expertise in teaching students with visual impairments.
• Ability to interpret eye medical reports and conduct assessments.
• Ability to contribute to IEP/IFSP development.
• Experience with modified standardized testing materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work approximately 15 hours per week, across 2-3 days.
• Support a flexible caseload of students with tailored instruction.
• Contribute to goal-setting, modifications, and learning strategies.
• Play a key role in functional vision and learning media assessments.
• Assist with standardized tests using modified materials as needed.
