Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Able to pass LPCPL background check.
• Welcomes working with all people from the community.
• Positive, adaptable and forward thinking.
• Display appropriate demeanor at all times, including dress, body language and expressions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one/small group tutoring or homework help in reading, math, writing, or ELL.
• Use the library’s website to locate information, resources, and services, and assist students in navigating digital content, account features, and online tools.
• Work with the library coordinator to align tutoring strategies with student goals.
• Record session attendance, monitor student progress, and report data to the library coordinator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate processes clearly, explain terms, concepts and technology and assign responsibility and provide feedback.
• Abides by established policies and procedures.
