Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Recommendation from instructor for tutoring role.
• Overall GPA 2.50 or higher.
• Earned a B+ or higher in the course(s) tutored.
• Good academic standing with the college.
• Mastery of courses being tutored.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work with faculty and students.

Responsibilities

• Tutor diverse student populations in various subject areas.
• Answer academic questions, providing examples relating to the subject.
• Provide analytic and diagnostic services to increase student success.
• Ensure students' individual learning needs are met.
• Refer students to necessary campus support services.
• Evaluate and recommend tutoring materials.
• Facilitate review sessions, workshops and trainings.
