Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center in Rancho Cucamonga is seeking part-time teachers/tutors who are enthusiastic, happy and flexible to work with kids from pre-K to 12th grade in study skills, reading, math, and SAT/ACT prep.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree and a teaching certificate or be a college junior/senior pursuing a Math or Education degree and be able to work with children. Two to four days per week, afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate OR college junior/senior working toward degree in Math or Education
• Experience teaching/tutoring students of various ages
• Ability to multitask and engage children
• Reliable form of transportation

Responsibilities

• Teach study skills, reading, math, and SAT/ACT prep to students
• Create engaging lessons and monitor progress
• Maintain a positive learning environment for kids of all ages
