Job summary

UPS is seeking a Dispatch Lead to assist and review Small Package dispatch activity, ensuring timely service and cost goals while coordinating with drivers and yard operations.

The role covers planning, tracking load movements, equipment oversight, and analyzing reports to incorporate changes for new customers and locations. A focus on safety, training needs, and performance evaluations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs / 32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Management experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Hazardous materials audits.
• Reviews safety reports.
• Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and safe work methods.
• Determines employee training needs to produce development plans.
