Job summary

Responsibilities

• Drive to and from assigned MSW landfills transporting MSW for Pasquotank County.
• Operate a variety of heavy trucks and trailers (roll-off, transfer, recycling, and other solid waste equipment).
• Serve as a substitute when full-time staff are on vacation, sick leave, resignations, or when extra waste tonnage is created.
• Perform safety and maintenance checks on trucks and trailers.

DescriptionUnder general supervision, performs driving to and from assigned MSW landfills transporting MSW from Pasquotank County.Example of DutiesThe job will consist of the safe, effective and efficient operation of a variety of heavy trucks and trailers including but not limited to: roll-off trucks, transfer trucks, recycling trucks and other heavy equipment of the solid waste and recycling department.
