Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join as a Float Medical Assistant in Georgia. This part-time role covers coverage at multiple locations (Kennesaw, Marietta, Douglasville) with travel between sites on Thursdays and Fridays.

You will support patient flow, perform point-of-care tests, EKGs and specimen collection to ensure a positive patient experience. Requirements include CMA certification, high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy experience, and current

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Current BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs point-of-care laboratory tests and EKGs as ordered.
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed.
• Prepares patients, room, and supplies for visits or examinations.
• Performs phlebotomy and correctly processes specimens.
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
