Nightingale College seeks a part-time Assistant Professor for Nursing Education to facilitate on-ground instruction across various SOFE locations in the US. The role involves innovative teaching methodologies and promoting advanced practice nursing education. Candidates must have a graduate degree in nursing and a commitment to obtaining a Certified Nurse Educator credential. This position requires significant travel and offers competitive salary based on the faculty ladder.
***Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time to various locations within the US during the clinical rotations. This is not a state-specific travel position; assignments can be located in any of the Nightingale SOFE areas. Please see the link below for the list of all our SOFE (Supervised On-ground Field Experience) locations.
We have 3 semesters each year, each lasting 16 weeks (about 3.5 months), with clinical rotations taking place during at least 11 weeks.
Part-time faculty work: 20-22 experiential learning shifts, or approximately 5 to 5.5 weeks per semester.

The starting budgeted salary for this position begins at $43,000. Nightingale College utilizes a faculty ladder with five levels to determine salary and position title. Nursing Education levels include Instructor, Assistant Professor I, Assistant Professor II, Associate Professor, and Professor. Placement on the faculty ladder is determined at the time of an offer, based on degree level and years of nursing academia experience.
Role and Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor for Nursing Education facilitates on-ground education instruction by incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends, promoting an interdisciplinary approach to advanced practice nursing education and healthcare delivery within and outside the College. The incumbent will deliver the nursing curriculum in accordance with the Program's mission, vision, values, and purposes. They will engage with learners throughout the nursing education process, including evaluating their potential for achievement and ensuring the successful attainment of key performance indicators, program, and functional outcomes. The Assistant Professor is a valued team member within the nursing faculty.

All full-time employees are required to attend new employee orientation in Salt Lake City, Utah, in person. Both full-time and part-time employees must attend our annual in-person conference. Travel and lodging are provided by the organization.
