Job summary

CommuniCare Health at Caroleton Healthcare Center in Connersville, IN seeks a Transportation Assistant to safely transport residents to local and non-local appointments and events. This part-time role offers 15–29 hours weekly at $18/hour, with a caring, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include operating a 15-passenger mini-bus, ensuring resident safety, and maintaining documentation while following all policies to support residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record with no citations or accidents in past 10 years.
• Public transportation experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED; Nurse Aide Training or eligibility within 120 days.
• Red Cross First Aid Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from physician visits and in-house activities.
• Operate a 15-passenger mini-bus safely and responsibly.
• Provide one-on-one monitoring for elopement risk on outside visits.
• Maintain resident documentation records and comply with policies.
• Attend scheduled training and support quality of care.
