The Pete Store LLC in North Haven, Connecticut, is seeking a part-time CDL driver. This role requires a valid CDL and involves safely transporting trucks and/or trailers to customers, vendors, and dealerships, parking and moving trucks, and shuttling trucks in and out of the shop.

Candidates should have 3–6 months related experience or training, the ability to read safety rules, and the capacity to work independently with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy in paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Safely transports trucks and/or trailers to customers, vendors and dealerships.
• Park and move trucks promptly and in a safe manner.
• Shuttles trucks in and out of shop.
• Road tests trucks after service work.
• Keeps trucks organized on the lot as directed by the manager.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
• Keeps logs to Federal standards and submits trip reports and receipts.
• Operates yard tractor and drives all trucks as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required license or certification:

• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
