Job summary

Global- a 1st Flagship Company is seeking a Part-Time Training Manager to develop and deliver training for shipyard trades, blending hands-on sessions with classroom instruction. This role focuses on safety, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance.

You will ensure OSHA and NAVSEA compliance, maintain curricula and records, and collaborate with Operations, Safety, HR, and Quality to close skill gaps. This position offers impact across diverse locations and a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in shipyard, manufacturing, or industrial trades.
• 2+ years in training, workforce development, or instruction.
• Strong knowledge of industrial trades (mechanical, electrical, welding).
• OSHA standards familiarity and safety practices.
• Experience delivering hands-on and classroom training.
• Excellent communication, organization, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage training programs for shipyard trades (welding, electrical, pipefitting, rigging).
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training, onboarding and refresher courses.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NAVSEA, and contract requirements.
• Maintain training schedules, curricula, and qualification tracking systems.
• Track and report training metrics, certifications, and workforce readiness.
• Design and update training materials, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Evaluate trainee performance and implement remediation plans.
• Support audits with audit-ready training records.
• Partner with Operations, Safety, HR, and Quality to identify skill gaps and training needs.
