Job summary

iHeartMedia in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Traffic Anchor to deliver timely traffic and weather updates for local listeners. You will read updates on air, gather info from multiple feeds, and produce copy for websites and social channels.

The role requires a clear on-air voice, solid writing/editing skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; part-time, hourly schedule includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of local geography, major roadways, mass transit systems, and traffic patterns.
• Clear, pleasant, and well controlled on air voice with excellent pronunciation.
• English & Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Skilled at working in a fast paced, deadline driven, newsroom style environment.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities with a strong command of grammar.
• Exceptional attention to detail with consistent follow through until issues are resolved.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a high-volume setting.
• Familiarity with police scanners is a plus.
• Previous broadcast experience preferred.
