Total Traffic + Weather Network in Medford, MA is seeking an experienced Traffic Anchor and Producer to keep listeners informed of traffic and weather in the local area and to gather traffic information for GPS databases.

You will handle weekend shifts with fill-ins and holidays, deliver timely reports on accidents and delays, read on-air updates, and produce copy for air and web while verifying facts and maintaining updated content.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns.
• Clear on-air voice with good pronunciation.
• Experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
• Excellent writing and editing with strong grammar.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with police scanners is a plus.
• Broadcast experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Gather information from multiple intake sources and monitor local, state, and national traffic feeds to determine what’s most relevant.
• Research, write, and produce traffic and weather copy for on air use; edit audio using digital editing software.
• Manage incoming information, verify facts, and ensure all details are accurate and current; maintain updated content on station websites.
• Create written, visual, audio, and video content for websites, blogs, and social media platforms.

What You'll Need

• Clear, pleasant, andwell controlledon airvoice with excellent pronunciation.

• Skilled at working in afar paced,deadline driven,newsroom styleenvironment.

• Excellent writing and editing abilities witha strongcommand of grammar.

• Exceptional attention to detail with consistentfollow throughuntil issues are resolved.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in ahigh volumesetting.

• Familiarity with police scanners is a plus.

• Previousbroadcast experience preferred.

Compensation

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.

$16.00 - $20.00
