Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rules and techniques of the specific sport.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning ability.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III and Centennial Conference rules.

Responsibilities

• Coaching – Throwing Events
• Prepare daily practices, set up facilities with equipment, and assist in practice direction of student athletes on and off the field.
• Teach drills and techniques to advance player development.
• Travel to competitions and provide instruction for competing athletes.
• Consult with athletic training personnel to maximize safety and wellness of student-athletes.
• Provide advising, mentoring and support to student-athletes.
• Promote ethics, sportsmanship and the overall welfare of athletes.
• Assist with identification and recruitment of prospective student-athletes in line with NCAA and Ursinus policies.
• Communicate via email, Front Rush, and phone; facilitate visits and itineraries for prospects.
• Assist in planning collegiate and high school home contests and special events.
