Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time store associate to work in a retail setting. You will sort donated merchandise, price items, and assist customers with purchases while maintaining displays and a clean store environment.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, tracking basic sales records, and rotating stock as directed. Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and writing in English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle basic cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and report discrepancies to store manager.
• Receive and select donated merchandise for sale.
• Price items within guidelines.
• Maintain neat displays and transfer stock to keep marketing appeal.
• Rotate stock as directed by the store manager.
• Answer questions and assist customers with purchases.
• Keep records of sales and inventory if required.
• Help maintain overall store appearance, cleanliness and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
