Job summary

The Salvation Army thrift store is seeking a part-time associate to assist customers, operate the cash register, and help maintain displays in a retail setting. This role supports mission-driven work and requires basic English communication.

Part-time (20 hours) with opportunities to engage volunteers and contribute to a welcoming shopping environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school background preferred.
• Prior sales or service experience preferred.
• Ability to understand basic written materials and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and report discrepancies to store manager.
• Receive and select merchandise from donated items for display.
• May price items within guidelines.
• Maintain neat and orderly merchandise displays and transfer stock as directed.
• Rotate stock as directed by the store manager.
• Answer questions and assist store customers.
• May record sales and inventory.
• Assist in maintaining store appearance, cleanliness and safety.
