Job summary

The Salvation Army thrift store in Rapid City is seeking a part-time associate to maintain shelves, process merchandise, and provide exceptional customer service. You will assist with pricing, stock daily, and learn the cash register system while upholding the mission of The Salvation Army.

Strong English communication, reliability, and a friendly, customer-focused attitude are essential. Prior retail or cash handling experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Retail and/or cash register experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shelves and racks, ensuring they are full and organized to promote sales.
• Assist management with pricing items for sale as needed.
• Process merchandise efficiently following established standards.
• Stock racks, shelves, counters with merchandise daily.
• Learn and train on the processing system including the cash register.
