Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division thrift store in Joplin, Missouri is hiring two part-time Store Workers to perform all standard thrift-store duties. Expect heavy physical labor including lifting, sorting, pricing, stocking, and cashiering.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math, and strong customer service. You will work 25 hours per week at a starting pay of $15.00 per hour, with duties across the sales floor and back area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related work experience or two years without diploma.
• Ability to operate a cash register and provide correct change.
• Must be a team player and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and other staff to promote positive relationships.
• Sort donated items.
• Price donated items.
• Place items on racks/shelves for display.
• Assist in loading/unloading the store’s truck and customers’ vehicles.
• Perform cashier activities and make change.
• Keep the showroom and back areas clean and organized.
