Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a thoracic surgeon for a part-time assignment in Honolulu, Hawaii. Expect 1 week per month on clinic coverage with 2 days per week of patient consults (40 minutes) and 20 minute follow-ups. One surgery day per week with blocked time plus urgent and add-on cases, handling 10–12 cases monthly.

Advanced VATS and robotic surgery skills are required; shared thoracic call applies. Position offers paid malpractice insurance, prepaid travel and housing, and ongoing support

Qualifications

• 2–5 years post-training experience required.
• Shared call—thoracic coverage only.
• General thoracic, esophageal, and thoracic oncology only.
• Advanced VATS and robotic surgery skills required.

Responsibilities

• Part time — 1 week per month commitment.
• Clinic 2 days/week — 40 min consults, 20 min follow-ups.
• Surgery 1 day/week — blocked time plus urgent and add-on cases.
• 10–12 elective and urgent thoracic cases per month.
