Job summary

Berea College Athletics is seeking a part-time Assistant Men's and Women's Tennis Coach to assist the head coach in all aspects of an NCAA Division III program. The role requires coaching expertise, recruiting support, and ensuring academic success for student-athletes.

Ideal candidates will have collegiate coaching experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
• Outstanding knowledge in teaching and coaching tennis.
• Ability to relate well to student-athletes.
• Knowledge of college policies and procedures.
• Strong personal work ethic and integrity.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and instruction to student-athletes participating in the program.
• Assist the head coach with administrative duties and program oversight as directed.
• Support the head coach and recruit new student-athletes within Berea College and NCAA Division III guidelines.
• Support the academic progress of all team members.
• Maintain compliance with rules and regulations of conference and national affiliations.
• Assist with facility upkeep and maintenance; attend meetings as required.
• Mentor and develop a positive culture for student-athletes.
