In this role, you will work directly with athletes, coaches, and support staff to identify and meet nutritional needs to optimize athlete health and performance. This role will report directly to the Director of Sports Nutrition.
Key functions include:
Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends when varsity teams are training, practicing, and competing. Position is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week.
Nutrition or related field
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)Two years of experience in the sports nutrition setting
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, RD Eligible could be considered; Licensed as a Dietitian in Oklahoma, or to be completed upon hiring; Sexual Harassment Training, Minor's Training, CPR and AED Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work well independently & as a member of interdisciplinary teams; Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services; Experience with one-on-one nutrition counseling and group education; Gathering and assessing body composition data (past Cosmed BodPod usage preferred); Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
2+ years as a dietitian in the elite, professional, or collegiate sports setting
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) or CSSD Eligible
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Experience counseling athletes with disordered eating/eating disorders; Experience using Teamworks suite products
