Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union seeks a friendly Teller to provide welcoming member experiences and accurate transaction processing at the Kalamazoo branch. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loans while maintaining cash drawer accuracy.

You’ll promote products and services through consultative conversations, support branch goals, and stay updated on digital tools to better assist members.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of teller or related experience.
• Cash handling experience and knowledge of financial products/services preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college coursework or banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive member experience to support retention and guide members to suitable products and services.
• Accurately perform teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, wire requests) and balance cash drawer daily.
• Demonstrate strong risk management and fraud awareness; follow security protocols and branch procedures.
• Identify opportunities to refer members to products/services and support branch goals through education and outreach.
