Job summary

CUSB BANK in Shell Rock, IA seeks a part-time teller to cover 10–20 hours weekly with shifts during open hours, preferably Wed and Fri afternoons, no weekends.

You will handle routine customer inquiries, process transactions, maintain cash drawer, and support sales and service goals while upholding bank standards.

Partial schedule and friendly, accurate service are required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or 1–2 years relevant experience.
• Ability to operate PC, printer, phone, calculator, copier, and fax machines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Able to perform basic math and handle routine banking transactions.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales culture through checking product knowledge and cross-selling as per plan.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and mapping for efficiency.
• Demonstrate customer service excellence and professional conduct.
• Handle checking/savings transactions, mortgage payments, and card transactions.
• Maintain cash drawer within policy, balance at end of shift, and ensure accuracy.
• Balance ATM and cash supplies; assist customers with inquiries and explain bank services.
• Open night vault deposits and process transactions with dual control.
• Answer telephone inquiries and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
