Responsibilities

• Performs routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, cashier's checks, and money orders.
• Possesses basic math and computer skills.
• Assists members in opening new accounts, verifying information for membership eligibility.
• Navigates Microsoft Office applications and the Episys Core System.
• Posts routine transactions to the computer system and determines who is authorized to conduct transactions on members' accounts.
• Examines checks for endorsements and negotiability, places holds when necessary.
• Provides members with proper receipts for transactions.
• Understands and cross-sells all services offered by the credit union.
• Processes stop payments on share drafts, ACH, and bill payments.
• Provides account status, including current balances, loan payoffs, and account history.
• Completes forms including card orders, reloads, travel cards, card/check pickup, card disputes, and orders checks through the core.
• Balances daily transactions accurately during the day and closing, adhering to cash drawer limits.
• Demonstrates dependability and team collaboration.
• Scans member checks through ITC.
• Provides member phone, online chat, and email support.
• Performs Shared Branching transactions accurately and reviews documentation for accuracy.
• Knows how to find dividend rates on deposit accounts and can direct members to branch locations, business hours, and phone numbers; navigates SCCU website.
• Responds courteously to member requests/complaints and directs them to the proper person if needed.
• Participates in and promotes the credit union movement.
