Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a part-time teller for our Cascade location. This role emphasizes creating a warm member experience while handling a high volume of transactions with accuracy and a strong focus on service excellence.

You will promote products and services to help members meet financial goals, participate in fraud prevention, and support branch growth through referrals and knowledge of LMCU offerings. This position is fully on-site and customer-facing.

Qualifications

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Previous cash handling experience and knowledge of financial products and services preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive member experience leading to member retention through proactive engagement and building trusting relationships with members.
• Identify and address member needs, offering information and guidance about products and services that align with their financial goals.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to all members, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate adverse situations, ensuring positive outcomes for both members and LMCU.
• Accurately perform basic and advanced teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, check ordering, wire requests).
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily with accurate handling of cash flow.
• Demonstrate strong risk management practices with knowledge of fraud prevention guidelines and robbery procedures.
• Support policy compliance and protect member data and security in the branch.
